Christian, the nine-month-old son of Ryan Switzer and his wife Gabie, has been battling health issues for over a month. After testing positive for COVID-19 back on March 6, the newest member of the Switzer family has been dealing with bleeding issues.
The reason for these issues is unknown to the public. But for anyone following the story, there have been a few scary moments. We’ve felt the panic and fear in Ryan’s tweet updates, and it just felt like nothing was working in the journey to help his son.
Well, we finally got some positive news on Monday.
After undergoing multiple surgeries, it looks like the infant son of the Cleveland Browns receiver is going to make a full recovery. Switzer took to Twitter to share the incredible news straight from a Boston hospital.
Our sweet baby boy is stable and out of surgery. This nightmare is over with. These wonderful people in Boston fixed our son. He’s going to make a full recovery. Praise God. pic.twitter.com/2utFW578QD

This update came after Switzer had said that the doctors were prepping his son for surgery. The surgeon on the case had assured the family that “they found what they’re looking for” in order to do the operation.
We’re grateful they’ve located what’s been a mystery for far too long now. We’re praying God guides the surgeons as they operate and that this is the last time our sweet boy has to go through anything of this magnitude ever again.

This is incredible news.
It had to be absolutely terrifying for the Switzers to find their son in a blood soaked diaper and crib. Then, it seemed like so many unanswered questions and failed tests soon followed that searching for the cause of their son’s illness had to be even worse. But this story looks like it will have a happy ending.
We are certainly due for some great news!
For those who don’t know, Switzer was originally a fourth-round pick by the Dallas Cowboys back in 2017. Since then, he’s spent time with the Oakland Raiders (2018), Pittsburgh Steelers (2018-19) and now Browns (2020-present).
The former North Carolina receiver/return specialist has 50 career receptions for 321 yards and one touchdown. He also scored another touchdown as a punt returner.
