Ryan Fitzpatrick Intends To Bring Back His Magic Act In 2021

FitzMagic could be back in 2021. At least, it will be if Ryan Fitzpatrick gets his way.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Fitztpatrick intends to sign with someone, somewhere in free agency. "There’s been some public debate about his future, but he does intend to play this year," is how Rapoport put it.

Fitzpatrick, 38, appeared in nine games with the Miami Dolphins last season, beginning the year as the starting quarterback after beating out rookie Tua Tagovailoa in training camp.

But that ended a little more than a month later, when Coach Brian Flores turned to Tagovailoa following the Dolphins' bye week.

For the season, Fitzpatrick started seven games and finished with 2,091 passing yards, 13 touchdown and eight interceptions overall.

As a veteran backup with a fun-loving approach, strong work ethic and emergency starter, Fitzpatrick would certainly fit well with many teams. And it appears Fitzpatrick intends to find a place where those traits are needed.
