Russian Woman’s Maine Coon Kitten Could Be Largest In The World — Look At This Monster!

Weighing in at more than the typical two-year-old toddler, Kefir the Maine Coon kitten, owned by a Russian woman, is causing quite a social media storm as experts try to figure out if he’s the largest kitten in the world.

Yulia Minina, Kefir’s owner, says her kitty is so big that strangers to her house in the Eastern Russian city of Stary Oskol think he’s a dog.

“He not only grew up big in appearance, he is also very smart and always behaves calmly,“ Minina told South West News Service. “The look is generally like that of a person, and Kefir has a formidable appearance, but he is a very affectionate and modest child.”

Now 28 pounds with two more years until he grows to his adult size, Minina says the big boy is starting to get too big to do things like jump up on the bed like he did as a kitten.

“At night he likes to climb on me and sleep. When he was a kitten, it didn’t cause me any inconvenience,” she added. ”But now he has become big and heavy, and, of course, it is difficult to sleep like that.”

How big will Kefir get over the next two years? In 2019, the Guinness Book of World Records named Barivel from Italy as the world’s longest cat. The Maine Coon cat was measured at 3-feet, 11 inches. That’s one inch shorter than the height of a regulation hockey net.

As for those who want to buy Kefir. Minina is pleading with people on Instagram to respect her wishes.

“To everyone who wants to buy my cat, I answer: NOT FOR SALE!” she wrote over the weekend as her cat became Internet famous. “But I can give all the information about the breeder that many have asked! At the moment, 3 gorgeous snow-white blue eyes are available in the nursery age 1 month. I think you don’t need to praise their beautiful and big parents, you already know everything!”

There you go. Get your hands on a cat that can grow to the size of a preschooler and act as a guard cat. Look at the face on this thing. There’s not a sane robber in the world who wants a piece of this beast.
