Rory McIlroy Hits A Shot Into Someone's Swimming Pool

You can always count on Rory McIlroy to make a splash. And boy, did he make a notable one in the WGC Matchplay event on Wednesday.

McIlroy crushed a drive, looked up, then leaned on his club as he watched a ball hook wildly to the left -- then wind up in the swimming pool of someone's house located near the Austin Country Club.

That was just part of the bad news for McIlroy.

"The wayward drive wasn't the only time McIlroy's ball took a splash during his match against Ian Poulter, as he had to take a drop on 13 after his chip across the green rolled into the water," per MSN.

McIlroy, 31, has been in a major slump lately, and he even hired a private coach to help with his swing. He opted not to speak with reporters following the wet-and-wild round.
