Rodgers And Adams Post The Same Cryptic Photo; What’s The Future Hold?

Videos by OutKick

Fans in Green Bay have to be getting a bit nervous these days, as two massive pieces of the team may be ready to ride out into the sunset.

The two players in question is quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the team’s leading wide reciever, Davante Adams.

Rodgers has been non-committal since it appeared the clock hit triple zero in Lambeau Field the day the team lost to Tampa Bay in the NFC Title Game.

For Adams, there’s been rumors all spring and summer about his future.

Adams will be a free agent in 2022, and while there rumors that the Packers and Adams were talking about a new contract, Adams has reportedly cut off those talks.

He is said to be seeking to replace Arizona’s DeAndre Hopkins as the NFL’s highest-paid receiver come 2022 when he hits the free agent market.

The two Packers Friday night put out a rather cryptic photo of what could be their future with the two leaving Green Bay.

The picture is Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen of the Chicago Bulls, and you have to assume there’s a bigger meaning behind it just being a cool pic of two of the greatest in NBA history.

Rodgers reportedly has had eyes to play for a team out west, while Adams drew headlines when college teammate Derek Carr of the Las Vegas Raiders came out and said he would love to find a way to bring Adams to Vegas.

  1. Need a first dance to have a last dance…more like Stockton/Malone. These guys are delusional, their legacy is great stats and regular season wins, and then failures in the NFC Championship. How about saying we have to play better in big games…just last year vs. Bucs – Adams drops a touchdown, and Rogers goes 3 and out 3 times in the fourth quarter.

    • And that’s just the problem with most of these athletes today. They hold out, they threaten organizations, they throw media fits, they get all passive aggressive on twitter but come crunch time they choke.

      • 100% agree, Rodgers/Adams haven’t won anything of significance to be acting this way…so I guess they blame the Packers front office that has stocked the team with Pro Bowlers and broke the bank on defensive free agents a few years ago, which puts them in salary cap hell. Sheesh…if Rodgers just doesn’t want to go through the grind to win big, then so be it, just admit and and quit, and stop blaming everyone else.
