Robert De Niro Compares Trump to 'Abusive Relationship,' Adolf Hitler

Robert De Niro, who hates President Donald Trump more than any non-ESPN personality, went on MSNBC to analyze the election.

De Niro's past commentary on Trump includes sending him a "fuck you," threatening to punch him, and calling him "stupid." You now see the appeal to MSNBC.

Now De Niro has taken his hatred a few steps further, comparing Trump's presidency to an "abusive relationship."

Oh.

The former great actor then likened the president to Adolf Hitler. Check out Jack Byrnes's historical breakdown:

“It’s the same playbook as Mussolini, as Hitler, as wannabe dictators," Den Niro explained. "It’s what they’re going to do for the people, make Germany great again, make Italy great again, make America great again. It’s all appealing to the worst prejudices, the worst weaknesses of the public and instead of leading them and guiding them and being someone that they can look up to."

Mussolini and Hitler, huh?

De Niro says, unlike Trump, the murderous characters he has played had dignity.

“I’m an actor. I do those parts. I enjoy them, but I’d like to even think in all of those parts there‘s a certain dignity somewhere buried in there that I don’t think a person like Trump, I know he doesn’t have."

It's too bad Trump couldn't be more like young Vito Corleone, Jimmy Conway, Travis Bickle, or Frank Sheeran.

The good news, with networks projecting Joe Biden as the winner of the 2020 presidential election, Hollywood elites like Robert De Niro can again live in peace. He's even greatly looking forward to the "strong" Kamala Harris-led country.

"Harris is tough. She’s tougher. She’ll do the things that maybe he wouldn’t do or can’t do but I'm hoping she will do them.”

We leave you there.
