Reports Say Market High For Jets Starting Quarterback Sam Darnold

New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold is 13-25 in three seasons starting for the Jets.

Many think that Darnold still has plenty of upside, and there have been moments over the last three seasons when Darnold has shown that he does have some ability.

For as many fans who want New York to give Darnold another chance, there are plenty who want to move on from Darnold and go get another quarterback like a Deshaun Watson.

Darnold knows all about the whispers. He's heard many of them, but he can't do much about them because the Jets have yet to decide whether they will trade him.

Reports say that the Jets are getting calls on Darnold, indicating that teams around the league find value in Darnold as either a starter or backup.

It's interesting to think of what the Jets might be able to net in return for Darnold, if they indeed make a trade for a big name quarterback like Watson.

The Jets reportedly had interest in former Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford. However, the Lions moved Stafford to the Los Angeles Rams for draft picks as well as former first-round pick Jared Goff.

Don't be shocked to see Darnold's name pop up in trade rumors over the next few weeks. If the Jets get an offer that blows them out of the water, Darnold will probably play elsewhere next season.
