Report: Seahawks QB Punches Man In Ugly St. Paddy's Day Bar Bout

The Seattle Seahawks quarterback Alex McGough is under investigation for allegedly punching a man in the face at a Tampa bar on St. Patrick’s Day, TMZ reports.

Anthony Albino claims the backup quarterback decked him while he was trying to “reconnect with an old friend at the bar.”

The 24-year-old said McGough accused him of hitting on his girlfriend, got heated and suddenly punched him — Albino told TMZ he suffered minor injuries from the incident like a bloody nose and a gash to his elbow.

Albino said he went to law enforcement the day after it happened, and said he plans to press charges.

TMZ's sources confirmed there is an investigation into the situation. McGough has neither been arrested nor charged with a crime, but officers are hoping to get in touch with him soon.

McGough, a seventh-round pick in 2018 out of Florida International University, is one of four quarterbacks on the Seattle offseason roster.

The New York Post reports he is listed as the No. 2 QB behind star Russel Wilson but has not yet appeared in an NFL game since being drafted.

Between the 2018 NFL Draft and this offseason, the back-up signal-caller also made stomps Jaguars and Texans over the last two years. He was re-signed with Seattle in December.
