Reds Pitcher Sonny Gray Gets Naked After Allowing Two Runs Wednesday Night

Cincinnati Reds right-hander Sonny Gray wasn't happy about allowing a pair runs to the Royals during his start on Wednesday

"I came into the clubhouse and I got completely naked and I changed everything that I was wearing except for my cleats," Gray said after the game.

"I tried to cool off. I changed my jersey, my pants, my underwear, and my socks. I guess that was all I was wearing. And just tried to, like, reset and start over."

Gray's wardrobe change seems to have paid off, as he then set down nine straight in three vey effective innings.

The highlight of the night for Gray came in the 7th when he struck out the side.

"Maybe it worked," Gray said of changing his attire.

Cincinnati was able to rally to defeat the Royals 5-2 on Wednesday, helping Gray earn his second victory of the season.

Gray missed most of June with a groin strain and was making his second start since being reinstated from the IL. This season, he's had his share of issues staying healthy and is 2-4 with a 3.19 ERA in 62 innings.
