Recap: Braves Tie Up NLDS, 1-1, After Holding Shutout Against The Brewers, 3-0

The Atlanta Braves tied up the National League Division Series off a stellar performance by Max Fried and strong closing out by Will Smith — completing the shutout against the Milwaukee Brewers, 3-0, on Saturday night. Fried managed to not give up a single walk for the night, also striking out nine times and giving up three hits.

While Atlanta maintained their lead through strong pitching from the bullpen, Jorge Soler, Austin Riley and Freddie Freeman were responsible for Atlanta's spark on offense.

Riley hit the only homer of the night off a pitch from Brandon Woodruff — whose fourth-best ERA among pitchers in the regular season held firm until the sixth. Soler hit a double and was brought home by a Freeman single to right field, while Ozzie Albies brought Freeman home with a double.

The Braves and Brewers reunite for Game 3 of the NLDS at Truist Park on Monday.
