The catch itself is incredibly difficult, but how about the fall afterwards? At least a six-foot drop over that short porch! Teammates have to be fired up when a player goes Yahtzee in the first inning and then goes full Superman. Margot helped preserve a three-run lead behind a sharp Charlie Morton, which has to sting for Houston.
Tampa Bay currently sits up 1-0 over Houston, so this play could very well change the series. Most of us are rooting for Tampa anyway, which makes the catch feel even better. Go Rays!
Ummmm, Gary….Superman would literally fly around the bases and hit a HR at every at-bat too; I would say he was more like Batman, since he’s just a normal rich guy with athletic talent 😎
Batman needs a grapple to get up a wall, while Manny Margot just jumps. Took him 45 minutes to get out a tunnel Bane put him in. Manny Margot is Superman.
