QB Tyrod Taylor Fully Healthy, Will Start For Texans

Texans quarterback Davis Mills' time as starter is coming to an end.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that Tyrod Taylor is fully healthy and will be the guy under center against the Dolphins on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. on FOX. Taylor hasn't played since suffering a hamstring injury in Week 2 against the Browns.

Mills, the rookie third-round pick, was thrust into action with Taylor out. Mills went 0-6 as the starter, throwing for 1,357 yards with seven touchdowns and eight interceptions. Taylor led Houston to a 37-21 victory over the Jaguars in Week 1, going 21-of-33 for 291 yards and two touchdowns.

Taylor was off to a hot start against Cleveland, completing 10-of-11 passes for 125 yards and a touchdown before he pulled up with a hamstring injury. Taylor practiced on Thursday, with receiver Brandin Cooks very complimentary of his quarterback.

“He looks great," Cooks said. "It was great to have him back. Just his presence. We look forward to it.”
