ProFootballDoc: Jameson Williams Knee Injury Likely Serious

Alabama receiver Jameson Williams went down with a knee injury in the second quarter of the CFP National Championship game, and OutKick contributor Dr. David Chao says the video may reveal the worst.

"By video, (Williams) appears to suffer left knee ACL and MCL tear, non-contact. Top prospect. Best wishes," Chao tweeted.

Williams left for the locker room and was in street clothes before halftime.

Williams is a 6-foot-2, 189-poind junior who entered the game with 75 receptions for 1,507 yards and 15 touchdowns. He is averaging a whopping 20.1 yards per catch.

As you can see in the video above, he crumpled to the ground in pain before ever getting hit, seemingly a victim of a cut down the field after a fantastic 40-yard catch.

Stay tuned to OutKick for more on the national title game.
