Election Pollwatch: Joe Biden's Florida Concerns

Each week, Outkick updates you on the latest polls for the 2020 Presidential election between Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

Here are the most recent numbers via Real Clear Politics:

The news of the week comes in the key state of Florida. In the state, an NBC poll released Tuesday shows Joe Biden underperforming among Latino voters. President Trump leads the category 50%-46%. Overall, among Florida voters, Biden and Trump are virtually tied at 48%.

As Ben Shapiro points out, while Trump lost support among "white college-educated and independent women," if he gets an increased share of black and Hispanic turnout, it should offset.

A tie in the polls for Florida favors Trump, whose survey support is underestimated. This was loudly proven in 2016 across the country.

Trump's concerns now lie in Arizona, where he is sliding. If the president loses Arizona, he needs to pick up another state. Meaning: between Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, Trump likely needs to win two of the three. Currently, Biden holds the largest lead in Wisconsin.

The United Kingdom, books have Biden set as an 8/11 to 6/5 favorite over Trump.

"This means that Biden is still a slight favorite — you wager $11 to win $8 on Biden to win, and you wager $5 to win $6 on President Trump to be reelected," as we explained this week at Outkick. "If you were looking at this like a money line gamble, Biden would be about -137 and President Trump would be about +120."

54 days to go.
