Pitt Forward Suspended Indefinitely After Multiple Felony Charges

John Hugley has been suspended indefinitely from the Pitt men's basketball team.

According to ESPN on Friday, the freshman forward from Cleveland, Ohio is facing three charges: two counts of felony criminal conspiracy and one felony count of receiving stolen property. A preliminary hearing will be held on Thursday, Feb. 18.

Hugley, along with another man, was alleged to have entered a car without permission while the person responsible for the vehicle was asleep. The car was reported stolen later that day, and was eventually recovered almost two weeks later.

Hugley was a four-star prospect in the class of 2020, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He was rated as the nation's No. 97 overall player, No. 19 center and No. 2 player from the state of Ohio.

So far, the 6-foot-9 forward had played in seven games for the Panthers. He averaged 5.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and was shooting 39.5 percent in those contest. It looks like that production will have to be put on pause -- at least for the time being.

Whether Hugley ends up back on the team or not remains to be seen.
