Paul George Nets Trade Rumors Are Spicy

Doc Rivers is out with the Los Angeles Clippers and they may not be done making moves as they attempt to salvage their championship window with Kawhi Leonard. Speaking on his iHeart podcast Straight Fire, my former boss Jason McIntyre passes along rumors he's heard of a potential trade of Paul George to the Brooklyn Nets:

"At the exit interviews, Paul George did not get rave reviews from his teammates and my source would not be shocked if Paul George were shipped out of town and the potential landing spot is the Brooklyn Nets where he would team with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving," he said. "In exchange the Clippers would get something along the lines of Caris LeVert, Spencer Dinwiddie, some sort of 2nd round draft pick or whatever to balance out the rest of the deal. I'm sure they'd love to get Jared Allen who had to take a back seat to DeAndre Jordan because he's friends with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant."

The Nets are already going to be really interesting next season as we see whether and the extent to which Kevin Durant can return to his former self following a torn Achilles. Throw Paul George into the mix with Durant and Kyrie Irving and that's a lot of basketball talent and also a lot of potential for some wild interpersonal stories to come out.
