Patriots Hosed on Bogus Call, Bill Belichick Big Mad

The Patriots, already without Cam Newton and traveling to Kansas City on the day of the game to face the defending Super Bowl champions, got hosed on this call. Bill Belichick was so mad that he took off BOTH his masks:

Whether you call it a fumble or an interception by Mahomes, he was not down. Shilique Calhoun should have had a turnover and the Patriots should have had better field position. Amidst all the confusion, the Chiefs made a savvy move to punt before the Patriots could challenge.

  1. If you google “Phantom roughing the passer call” the first thing that comes up is Tom Brady vs the Chiefs.

I’m sure everybody who is outraged today was equally outraged at the succession of spectacularly favorable video reviews for the Patriots in the 2018 AFC title game at Arrowhead.

From the tuck rule up through 2019 the Patriots got the ‘hero’ calls.

Now there’s a New King in town.

How’s it feel on the other side, Bill?

    • Honestly I figured the flag Mahomes got for getting run out of bounds by Wise was payback enough, but the Ref’s as a whole have a tendency to blow plays dead far too soon. They need to have booth replay for that sort of thing run by someone with no interest in covering the ref’s behinds. (As opposed to the PI sham from last year)

  2. I’m not a patriots fan, but they earned their bones 99% of the time and 6 super bowl wins is a mountain to climb.

I’m already tired of the Mahomes Elvis treatment. Let the guy play and stop calling him the next coming of zzz whatever. He’s a gifted football player. Not the only gifted player.

It refreshing to see Bill get angry 😤 but he never does get angry. He is gonna tank for a QB in draft.
