Patrick Mahomes-Tyreek Hill Combo Holds Off Buccaneers For Win No. 10

One of the more intriguing matchups of the NFL weekend was the Kansas City Chiefs against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The first half was lopsided and didn't live up to the hype, but Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay offense made things interesting the last 30 minutes.

The final result was a 27-24 victory for the Chiefs, and that moved the team's record to 10-1. Most of that success came from an unstoppable combination of quarterback Patrick Mahomes and wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

The two linked up 13 times for a whopping 269 yards and three scores.

On the day, Mahomes completed 75.5 percent of his passes for 462 yards and those three touchdown passes to Hill. The reigning Super Bowl MVP also added four carries for 28 yards to bring his yardage total to 490 yards.

The duo was spectacular. Of those 269 yards from Hill, 203 of them came in the first quarter alone. Check out some of these highlights from Twitter.

Brady and the Bucs outscored the Chiefs 17-7 in the second half, but it wasn't enough to overcome a 20-3 first half deficit.

The longtime Patriot also had a more effective performance (345 yards, three touchdowns) than he did last Sunday, but he continued to add to his high turnover total with two interceptions. That brings his season total to 11 interceptions.

Both these teams should be in the playoffs. They will need to meet in the Super Bowl to get a rematch, however. Could it happen? Absolutely, but we still need to see more from Tampa Bay -- and Brady in particular.
