Patrick Mahomes Back On Practice Field After Toe Injury

Great news for the Kansas City Chiefs and probably bad news for everyone else. Patrick Mahomes is back on the field after offseason turf toe surgery.

Mahomes was back on the field for the second day of the Chiefs' organized team activities, and the Chiefs released a video as evidence. As you can see, Mahomes took part in a passing drill and moved around just fine.

Mahomes suffered the injury during a win over the Cleveland Browns in the AFC playoffs. He played through it the following week in the conference championship win over the Buffalo Bills and was pretty much the lone bright spot in the Chiefs' Super Bowl loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He underwent the surgery in February. NFL Network correspondent James Palmer reported last week that Mahomes is ahead of schedule in his return, and it's looking like that is indeed the situation.

Mahomes went 390-of-588 passing for 4,740 yards ad 38 touchdowns, and just six interceptions, in 15 regular-season games last year.
