Pandemic P Leads The Kawhi-less Clippers To A 51-Point Loss To Luka's Mavericks

Clippers' star Kawhi Leonard sat tonight after receiving a laceration to his lip on Christmas Day. So Paul George, being the superstar that he's paid to be, would surely hold down the fort tonight, right?

Nope. The Clippers were toppled by Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks 124-73. This game was a microcosm of what NBA fans have tried telling Paul George.

He's not that guy.

I just had to be petty and find the Clippers tweet. At least they're "back at it Tuesday." Always a silver-lining with the little brothers of Los Angeles.

Luka Doncic

The Mavericks' star wasn't all that tonight, but his team was. Dallas shot nearly 50% (49.4) from the field and 34.1% from deep as a team. Doncic still nearly had a triple-double with 24 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists. A nice game for literally anyone else--it's just expected from Luka at this point.

Paul George

You'd think Playoff P would bring some sense of urgency with Kawhi out, but apparently he didn't realize there was a game tonight. George only took 13 shots, so he showed the world, once again, that his mindset is nothing like his idol Kobe Bryant.

PG13 is turning out to be kentavious caldwell-pope with a shoe deal.

Patrick Beverley didn't do much trash talking himself, either after his two-point performance. An outing bad enough to put a smile on the face of Russell Westbrook.

The Clippers go head-to-head with the Minnesota Timberwolves Tuesday, so Kawhi has some time to get his body right and save Paul George (again).
