The offseason of questions continue for the Green Bay Packers, a team that was just five points away from playing in the Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs earlier this year.
The biggest question is what will happen with longtime QB and future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers.
From hosting Jeopardy! to telling anyone who will listen that he’s done playing in Green Bay, Rodgers’ future still has Packers fans on edge.
The second best player on the Packers’ roster is probably wide out Davante Adams, who last season led the NFL in touchdowns with 18, and pulled in 115 catches for 1,374 yards.
Adams is tight with Rodgers and has been speaking with the quarterback behind the scenes about what’s next for him and the future of the team.
“A lot is still being figured out on his end,” Adams told Colin Cowherd during The Herd on Monday.
There have been a lot of rumors that Rodgers wants to forgo playing in the snow in Green Bay, and that he will instead head out west to play in a place like San Francisco, which just spent their third overall pick in the NFL draft on quarterback Trey Lance.
Bringing in a player like Rodgers would put the Niners at the top of the NFC rankings right away and would also give Lance plenty of time to learn under a veteran QB.
“I’ve kinda surrendered to what’s going to happen and I’m confident in what I bring to the table and how I played last year, and I’m sure that’s put more speculation (out there),” Rodgers said on The Pat McAfee Show recently.
We will see if Adams gets his franchise QB back in 2021, or if the quarterback takes a hike and bails on the team that he’s been the starting QB for since the 2008 season.
