P.J. Fleck's New Pizza Commercials Are Out, Now He Needs A Big Ten Season To Run Them

Imagine being a pizza company, Red's Savoy, in Minnesota and your marketing division comes up with a great idea to sign Gophers head coach P.J. Fleck as the face of your fall Sota-Style™ pizza campaign when college football fans can't get pizza and 35 Busch Lights off their minds.

The marketing division assures upper management there will be a Big Ten season. Contracts are signed and Fleck goes into production on a 'Pizza Elite' commercial campaign that will get huge attention in the Minneapolis-St. Paul market.

And then Kevin Warren's Big Ten Council of Presidents and Chancellors votes to cancel the Big Ten season. Instant buzzkill. Think of all the pizza would've moved with this high-quality commercial you'd expect to see out of a Pizza Hut or Domino's.

Sure, Red's can run this during NFL games and the good people of Minneapolis will buy pizzas here and there, but we're talking about missing out on Saturdays where the Gophers had momentum and were coming off an 11-2 season, plus a win over Auburn in the Outback Bowl.

Maybe something will change over the next couple weeks and a miracle Big Ten season will break out and Fleck's acting ability will get the recognition it deserves.
