OutKick’s Jonathan Hutton, Chad Withrow and Jill Savage sat down Saturday ahead of the Alabama-LSU game and gave their thoughts on Florida head coach Dan Mullen‘s recruiting comments and the current state of the Gators‘ program during OutKick the Tailgate.
It’s clear Florida has problems luring top-rated talent, and after Georgia dominated the Gators, the talent gap was prominent enough that Kirby Smart was asked about recruiting. Georgia’s coach said it’s a relentless pursuit, while Mullen said he’ll get to recruiting after the season when it gets to recruiting time.

Winthrow said Mullen could have gone one of two ways — he could have pretended the comments about his inability to recruit didn’t bother him, but instead, he went the route of “you’ve now pissed me off.”
“It’s a bad look,” Winthrow said.
