OutKick The Tailgate: Dan Dakich Weighs In On Rodgers And Vaccines

Former college basketball coach Dan Dakich knows that former Washington State head coach Nick Rolovich would still have a job if he coached in the SEC.

Rolovich was fired last month for refusing to get vaccinated. Dakich joined OutKick the Tailgate on Saturday morning and said the SEC would find a way to keep a coach that doesn't comply with vaccine mandates.

"Alright, we're getting rid of Nick Saban because he's not vaccinated," Dakich said. "Really? Ok, of course not."

Dakich likened the situation to Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, with the news breaking that he's not vaccinated. Dakich said that how much success you have and what position you in, dictates whether you keep your job in this situation.

"So, it comes out that the media knew Aaron Rodgers wasn't vaccinated," Dakich said. "Did anybody say anything? The Packers knew too. Everybody knew. Why is it such an issue? Now, let me ask you this: if it was Joey Blutarski, the left guard, no, of course he wouldn't be on the roster. That's just the reality of the world we live in."

OutKick the Tailgate is live every Saturday morning at the site of the biggest game in the SEC that week. Join Jonathan Hutton, Chad Withrow, Jill Savage and Clay Travis every Saturday at OutKick.com and on OutKick’s official YouTube page.
