Outkick the Show: Wednesday, September 4, 2019

On today’s Outkick the Show, Clay Travis discussed Antonio Brown’s latest antics on social media, this time posting a photo of a letter he received from Oakland Raiders GM Mike Mayock on Instagram which addressed the 54K fines associated with missing pre-season camp. Brown decided to add his remarks and share it with the public. According to Travis, AB might be more of a hinderance to the Raiders than a help.

Clay also announced the long-awaited mega deal between Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and running back Ezekiel Elliott. Clay Travis broke down the details of his deal, which would surprise most. The contract, said Travis, is mostly about Zeke’s ego.

Clay then talked about the contract extension for Jared Goff of the Los Angeles Rams. Clay placed his contract law hat on and, as with Elliott, the details of the contract was outlined and explained. Clay also discussed the CBA and what might ultimately improve situations for the NFL franchises as well as the players.

Clay went on to discuss Michelle Beadle’s final exit from ESPN. Beadle has been officially fired from ESPN and both sides are in final negotiations to finalize how much cash will be left in her purse when she is finally kicked to the curb.

Clay concluded the show by pointing out the alarming disconnect between the public’s 99% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and the critical response, now at 28% positive rating, for Dave Chappelle’s latest comedy special on Netflix.
