Outkick the Show: Thursday, September 5, 2019

On today’s Outkick the Show, Clay Travis discussed the latest drama surrounding Antonio Brown of the Oakland Raiders. An altercation took place between GM Mike Mayock at practice yesterday, resulting in AB being physically restrained by Vontaze Burfict. “If Vontaze Burfict holds you back, you have lost your mind and have done something seriously wrong,” said Travis. According to Adam Schefter, the Raiders are looking into ways to get out of paying AB his contract.

Clay also commented on Jemele Hill’s controversial article for The Atlantic where she is advising all black athletes to shun “white” colleges and compete for “black” colleges. This, said Travis, from a black woman working for an overwhelmingly white publication. “She could have been the Oprah of sports, but now she has become the Al Sharpton.”

Clay then announced his NFL gambling picks for Week 1 beginning with choosing the Bears to win over the Packers -- as well as the over,

Finally, Clay addressed LeBron James’ attempt to trademark “Taco Tuesday,” which has been a trademark of Taco John’s since 1989. “LeBron has no chance at all to win this trademark,” said Travis. LeBron has also designed a glass football helmet he hopes to see introduced to the NFL. According to Travis, this is evidence of how off-the-rails James has gone.
