Outkick the Show: Thursday, July 23, 2020

On today’s Outkick the Show, Clay Travis shared more positive and underreported news on the coronavirus front. Clay continued by sharing how MLB is alienating a huge number of their fanbase over their decision to politicize the game. “After all this time waiting for sports to return, MLB is finally back. Unfortunately we can’t just have a beer and watch the game because every player on the field has to make a statement. They are going to alienate a huge percentage of their fanbase.”

Clay went on to talk about Rupp Arena and the demand by black faculty at the University of Kentucky to change the name of the arena, praised Seattle for naming their new NHL franchise the “Seattle Kraken," and also praised the Pac-12 for their decision to play college football this fall, much to the chagrin of the coronabros.

Clay continued by discussing TCU’s decision to move their football season a week earlier in week zero, called out the Washington D.C. NFL team for panicking and deciding to call their football team Washington FT for the 2020 season, and concluded by sharing NBA commissioner Adam Silver’s decision to endorse Joe Biden for president. Clay believes this is a poor business decision and a short-sighted move by Silver.
