Outkick the Show: Monday, August 19, 2019

On today’s Outkick the Show, Clay Travis discussed the return of college football this week, and listed several changes at the quarterback position for many of the teams ranked in the AP top 25.

Clay then addressed the “insane drama” surrounding Antonio Brown of the Oakland Raiders. Of the 2,880 current NFL players, only one refuses to wear the helmets approved by the NFL. GM Mike Mayock’s impromptu press conference yesterday called him out, and Brown reportedly showed up to practice today. Clay surmised Brown might be struggling from some serious mental issues that may or may not be related to brain damage incurred while playing football.

Clay also mentioned Ezekiel Elliott and his continued holdout from the Dallas Cowboys’ preseason camp. Dallas owner Jerry Jones exclaimed “Zeke who?” following backup running back Tony Pollard’s tremendous performance for Dallas in the preseason. This might, said Travis, change the financial picture for Zeke as things move forward.

Clay continued by commenting on Kyler Murray’s dismal performance against the Raiders in the second week of pre-season. The most criticized quarterback in the draft was Daniel Jones of the New York Giants, who has played well, and the most lauded quarterback in the draft, Kyler Murray, who recently looked abysmal, added Travis.

Clay shared a story re: his recent trip to Las Vegas, with a memorable encounter with a prostitute in an elevator. Clay shared his humorous story as well as his take on how he believes legalizing and regulating prostitution might be the best solution for our country moving forward.

Finally, Clay announced the return of Lock It In, airing live on FS1 today at 1:30 PM Eastern. Episode 1 of Season 2 will feature the return of college football this week as well as the NFL season kicking off next month.
