Outkick the Show: Friday, September 27, 2019

On today’s Outkick the Show, Clay Travis discussed the situation at the Des Moines Register and the firing of the reporter who decided to research Carson King’s teenage Twitter history and write a story outing him for a handful of tweets he shared as a kid. Clay went on to define cancel culture shared his opinion on why it’s bad for everyone.

Clay continued by sharing his college football picks for the week, including his blood-bank guarantee.

Clay also shared the story from the Wall Street Journal’s reporting of DirecTV and their decision to want to step away from NFL Sunday Ticket because they overpaid for their rights package. The trend of cord-cutting has changed the television landscape, said Travis, as it suggests the market for NFL rights isn’t as robust as it once was.

Finally, Clay Travis talked about the Philadelphia Eagles - Green Bay Packers game, and recognized how entertaining the game was, particularly with Wentz and Rodgers playing well.
