Outkick's Top Ten For Week 12 2015

Get ready for two weeks of debates about whether Notre Dame or the Big 12 champ should get the final playoff spot. That's where we are right now. Alabama, Clemson and either Iowa or Michigan State would definitely be in the playoff. That leaves one playoff spot at stake for either Notre Dame or the Big 12 champ.

So here's Outkick's top ten.

1. Alabama

The Crimson Tide are the best team in college football. Period.

2. Clemson

Given that South Carolina just lost to Citadel, I'm feeling pretty good about Clemson's ability to handle South Carolina next week. Bring on North Carolina in the ACC title game.

3. Iowa

The Hawkeyes are the Big Ten's best team. Now can they survive a road game at Nebraska? Look out, that's a dangerous game.

4. Oklahoma

The Sooners got a win over TCU. I know they lost to Texas, but right now I believe the Sooners are the fourth best team in the country.

5. Notre Dame

The Fighting Irish were pedestrian against Boston College. Now they need a big win against Stanford to make their final case to the committee that they deserve a spot in the playoff.

6. Michigan State

God bless the Spartans for beating Ohio State. Beat Penn State and Iowa and Michigan State will be in the playoff.

7. Baylor

The Bears were dominant in Stillwater. How many touchdowns could the average Outkick reader throw for in Art Briles's offense against the out of conference opponents? I'm thinking at least two.

8. North Carolina

What might have been if North Carolina doesn't lose to South Carolina on the opening Thursday night of the college football season? It's likely the Gamecocks are going to finish the season 3-9 so it's hard to believe UNC can make the playoff even if they beat Clemson in the ACC title game.

9. Florida

I know the Gators have been awful down the stretch, but they still have a better resume than any other one loss team not ranked above them right now. Unfortunately for Gator fans there is no way that this team can score enough points to beat Alabama.

10. Oklahoma State

The Cowboys slip in at the bottom of Outkick's top ten. Ifyou're a Notre Dame fan you really want them to beat Oklahoma next week because the 11-1 Sooners have the best resume of any possible Big 12 champ.
