Orioles Chances Of Playoffs? Zero. Point. Zero

It's been a forgettable four years for the Baltimore Orioles, and according to popular baseball analysis website Fangraphs, you can add a fifth.

How bad is it projected to be? Well, bad enough that Fangraphs gave the Orioles a 0.0 chance of making the playoffs. That's zero. As in no chance. As in forget about it and start focusing on 2022. And 2021 hasn't even started.

The Orioles can't even use the popular smart-alecky line from Dumb and Dumber, "So you're telling me there's a chance?" Because they are not given any chance. And this has to be a first, as no one has thrown so much as a single pitch.

But sometimes, you just know.

"Based on what Baltimore has shown in recent years, it's not surprising that the odds are stacked against the group making it to the postseason," wrote Ryan Homler of NBC Washington, "but the 0.0% is still a little shocking."

Still, the Orioles can use the ranking of nothingness as motivation. They may even invent their own rally cry based on the prediction. By the middle of the season, they may even improve enough to get to chant, "We're Number 0.01!"
