Olympic Gymnast Nastia Liukin Cranks Out A Montana Winter Instagram Content Series

Remember Nastia Liukin from the 2008 Beijing Games? Of course you do. She won gold in the all-around over Shawn Johnson. It was a great moment in U.S. Olympic sports history. Then you went about life, and Liukin went on with her life. Her career quietly ended at the 2012 U.S. Olympic trials, where she failed to make the team, and that was that. The competitive gymnastics portion of life was done.

Now 31, the Russian-born Liukin is up to 1 million Instagram followers and keeps busy with a variety of projects that gymnasts get after winning a gold medal. She lasted nine weeks into a Dancing With The Stars season. She's done work for NBC during the Olympics. She competed on American Ninja Warrior. There was even a three-way combo stint with Mary Lou Retton and dancer Sasha Farber on another season of Dancing With The Stars.

Now Nastia spends her time on Instagram, doing the fashion thing. In what might be an Internet first, the gossip pages are going nuts over her recent project -- a Montana content series. It's unclear if the Montana tourism industry hired Nastia to do a photo series, which would be a brilliant idea, but most state tourism boards are run by nerds who don't understand how to promote their states on social media.

This is exactly what Tulum, MT has been doing for the last couple of years. Some smart person in Tulum offers up free trips to IG models who then go on content benders that make the resort area look incredible. One thing leads to another, and random Anthonys on Instagram suddenly want to vacation in Tulum.

"Dear Montana, me and all of my outfits that somehow happened to fit in one suitcase will miss you dearly. until next time... xoxo," Nastia wrote as she was leaving town.

Hey Ohio, call this woman. Make Lima, Ohio look less like a complete dump.
