Ohio State CB Shaun Wade Opts Back In

Ohio State defensive back Shaun Wade announced via Twitter that he's returning this year after his opt-out just days go. His father led a Big Ten protest to get the conference to revisit their decision to cancel the fall season, so it makes sense he's back. With Wade returning, Ohio State's defense gets a shot in the arm.

The junior corner had 16 tackles last season, one pick, and one forced fumble. Overshadowed by Jeff Okudah in 2019, his return gives him an opportunity to shine in a bigger role.

Ohio State was the #2 rated defense in 2019, and plan on Wade being at the forefront of 2020's attack. We'll always be rooting for kids to play football and it's awesome to see college football fans get the chance to watch it one more time.

Welcome back, Mr. Wade.
