Ohio Man Belts Out 'Star Spangled Banner' After Gymnasium Sound System Fails

Ohio man Trenton Brown sat down and casually went back to eating his popcorn after belting out one of the most inspiring versions of "The Star Spangled Banner" you're ever going to hear, especially since the person singing it starts belting it out on the spot in a high school gymnasium after the sound system failed.

That was the scenario Friday night before the Waverly-Portsmouth boys basketball game. The crowd was told to stand for the anthem, but then there was no music. Three minutes went by, and then Trenton's wife told him to sing it for the people gathered in the gymnasium.

"It got quiet and a little awkward then out of nowhere Ezekiel Brown’s dad Trenton steps up big time and sings with no mic, no music, just talent!" Johnny Futhey, who recorded the moment, said on Facebook.

Ezekiel's Waverly squad won their season opener 75-44, and his dad has become a viral sensation who's going to get some anthem work out of this one. You have to figure Trenton Brown will never have to pay for popcorn ever again at one of Waverly's basketball games.

"Proud wife moment. Trenton didn’t hesitate to step up and sing!! This is what America is about folks," Vickey Brown wrote on Facebook.
