Official Statement on Taco Bell Dropping Mexican Pizza

Taco Bell announced on Thursday that it was removing the Mexican Pizza and shredded chicken items from their menu. Here is my official statement on the matter:

Nothing Taco Bell does with their menu matters as long as they don't ever ever ever ever get rid of the Cheesy Gordita Crunch. Any order at Taco Bell that does not include the Cheesy Gordita Crunch is suboptimal, as this is far and away the most delicious item on their menu. While I have slight disappointment that I will no longer be able to supplement the Cheesy Gordita Crunch with a shredded chicken burrito, I will survive.

More on background: The Mexican Pizza was never really high on my priorities list, but I get why other people are sad about its loss. The good news is that in the long run this could be a minor setback for a major comeback. We've seen populist demand bring back beloved fast food items in the past. Wendy's brought back their spicy chicken nuggets after years of depriving their customers. Taco Bell yielded to calls to bring back the Crunchwrap Supreme.

There are Taco Bell fans who still miss the chili cheese burrito; I expect that loss will continue to remain greater than the Mexican Pizza.
