Official Misses Field Goal Because He Was Adjusting His Mask

So now that social distancing and strapping on face diapers has become more important than having common sense, college referees are forgetting to do their jobs. It appears that a field goal in the Eastern Washington football game is converted, but the ref that was clearly distracted missed the call.

I mean, the official is already 15-feet from the nearest player. Isn't it a bit ridiculous that this guy is more concerned with looking the part than doing the one job he's paid to do? America...what are we doing?

Imagine if this was an important game? This video looks like it was shot with a Nokia, but picture this video in an AFC championship game. We'd really be forced to rely on video replay to counter the clueless referee fixing his mask? Super libs Rosie O'Donnell and maybe a Jim Carey would praise this official's passion for safety--but what about common sense-having Americans? How do they feel?

Worth noting that it's entirely possible to be courteous of a so-called "pandemic" while also remembering our jobs come first. Especially when your job directly affects the livelihoods of hundreds at once like a referee.

He won't be, but this referee should be fired. He deliberately missed the play fixing his mask and pretended he was qualified to make the call. A complete catastrophe that needs to be addressed. My goodness.
