OddsShark Super Bowl Odds

With seven weeks remaining in the 2017 NFL regular season, the surprising Los Angeles Rams have emerged as serious contenders to win Super Bowl 52 in Minneapolis.

The NFC West-leading Rams (7-2) will visit the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday, and the winner of that game could possibly tie the Philadelphia Eagles (8-1) for the best record in the conference if they lose to the Dallas Cowboys (5-4). Los Angeles is listed at +1000 on the Super Bowl 52 odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

The Rams have the same odds as the NFC South-leading New Orleans Saints (7-2), who have won seven straight games since opening the season at 0-2. They both sit behind only the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots (7-2) at +333, Eagles at +425 and Pittsburgh Steelers (7-2) at +700 on the betting board.

The Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs (6-3) are widely considered the biggest threats to the Patriots in the AFC, with the latter already defeating them decisively in the season opener. Pittsburgh hosts New England in a Week 15 matchup that could determine which of them gets home-field advantage in the playoffs. The Patriots beat the Steelers 36-17 in last year’s AFC Championship Game played at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro.

The Chiefs still appear to hold value to win the Super Bowl at +1200 along with the Seattle Seahawks (6-3), who have already beaten the Rams once and will host them again in Week 15 with the division title possibly on the line. Seattle’s biggest issue right now is injuries after losing All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman (Achilles) for the year.

Kansas City has arguably the most balanced team in the league between offense, defense and special teams but has lost three in a row to Pittsburgh.

Other longer shots to win Super Bowl 52 with great defenses include the Vikings at +1600 and Jacksonville Jaguars (6-3) and Atlanta Falcons (5-4) at +2200.

The Jaguars are battling the Tennessee Titans (6-3) for the AFC South title. The Titans are +2800 to win the Super Bowl. The Falcons are the defending NFC champs but have struggled offensively compared to last year when quarterback Matt Ryan was named NFL MVP.
