Well, isn’t this useful?

New York Magazine plans to publish a compilation of fawning essays to honor Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). The series will celebrate Ocasio-Cortez’s “beauty,” “rare authenticity,” and her “prominence” in American politics.

The description says the collection aims to be an “all-encompassing biography” on of the “most prominent political and cultural stars” today.

In addition to AOC’s beauty, NY Mag will honor the following:

— An opening essay about AOC’s unprecedented position in American politics
— A contextual look at her place in history of the American left
— Highlights of pivotal moments
— Analysis of her social media greatest hits
— Her relationship with Puerto Rico
— How today’s teens see her as the politician of their futures

According to Mediaite, the compilation will also highlight the “total average-ness of her boyfriend.” At least someone is OutKick their coverage.

Good to have a news outlet working on this. The book, Take Up Space, will go live in February 2022.

  1. Being a media-created political icon in 2021 is not necessarily a compliment … or “an achievement” to be applauded.
Never forget … she does NOT have to be “smart” but simply “smarter than her constituents”. That simple fact works for Oprah, “Maxine”, and many others.
