Notre Dame Will Be Down An All-American Versus Navy

Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly said All-American safety Kyle Hamilton will miss a second straight game as he recovers from a knee injury he sustained in the win over USC.

Kelly said a return for Virginia is possible, The Athletic‘s Pete Sampson reports.

Hamilton started his junior season with a two-interception performance at Florida State for the first multi-interception game of his career. He also totaled six tackles on the night and became the first Irish to record two interceptions in a game since Alohi Gillman had two against Syracuse in 2018.

Hamilton tied a career-high with 10 tackles against Purdue where he also recorded an interception in the win — it was his third of the season and eighth of his career.

No. 8 Notre Dame (7-1) will host the Navy Midshipmen (2-4) on Nov. 6 at 3:30 p.m., before hitting the road to face Virginia (4-2) on Nov. 13, Georgia Tech (2-4) on Nov. 20 at home, and wrapping up the regular season traveling to face Stanford (2-4) on Nov. 27.
