North Dakota Bill Bans Mandatory Mask Requirements

North Dakota has passed a bill that would wipe the masks right off your face.

As relayed by the Grand Forks Herald, a House bill banning mask requirements in North Dakota passed by a 50-44 count. It now heads to the state Senate.

“The bill comes three months after North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum (R) imposed a statewide mask mandate, though the governor himself had previously expressed skepticism over such a move,” The Hill noted.

N.D. state Rep. Jeff Hoverson is the bill’s sponsor, and that’s not exactly a surprise. Hoverson once referred to the state’s mask mandates as “diabolical silliness” imposed by “unelected, wealthy bureaucrats who are robbing our freedoms and perpetuating lies,” per the Herald.

As of now, North Dakota businesses are, like everywhere else in America, encouraged to enforce mask mandates. Both chambers of the North Dakota state legislature are required to do so as well.

“According to the newspaper, several GOP supporters of the state bill said they believe that mask wearing does nothing to slow the spread of COVID-19,” The Hill reported.

  1. As per the CDC, wearing a mask does NOT protect you from the covid virus. The virus is too small. That’s why they came up with the brilliant strategy of double-masking. Because, you know, if you can’t breath and suffocate, you can’t get the virus.
The “it’s protecting everyone else” is novel. The mask is designed to stop droplets from infecting another person. Basically, it’s stopping you from sneezing on someone. This is a skill most of us mastered by the second grade.
