North Carolina Hoops On Hold After Partying Too Hard

The ACC clash between North Carolina and Miami scheduled for Monday has been postponed, and not for the same old boring reasons related to COVID-19. It's true, dude. The game was actually put on hold because of a party video.

A video shared by UNC student newspaper The Daily Tar Heel showed Tar Heels players Day'Ron Sharpe and Armando Bacot partying hard without face coverings after Saturday's 91-87 win over bitter rival Duke. And yes, Sharpe and Bacot were surrounded by other maskless students. Since we know all you really want is the video, you can check it out directly below.

The ACC released a statement on the matter, and reports say the decision to suspend the game were indeed a result of the video.

"The postponement follows a meeting of personnel from both schools, who mutually concluded the game could not move forward today," the ACC said in a brief statement without directly addressing the video. "Both teams continue to adhere to the minimum outlined protocols within the ACC Medical Advisory Group report, which is available on theACC.com."

It still remains to be determined if the Tar Heels will be able to face Virginia for their next game, scheduled for Saturday. Miami at Notre Dame on Sunday.
