Nick Saban Thinks He Has His Replacement For Dylan Moses

There has been speculation that Alabama might be adding a star player out of the transfer portal. After choosing to leave Tennessee, linebacker Henry To'o To'o has been getting serious interest from several prominent programs, including the Crimson Tide.

Regardless of whether he ends up in Tuscaloosa, Alabama seems to be in good shape at the position. Yes, they have to replace multi-year starter Dylan Moses, but Jaylen Moody has done an excellent job stepping up to the plate this spring.

“He has been a very positive guy on our team. He’s been a core player on special teams. He’s got a great attitude; he plays with a lot of energy,” coach Nick Saban said Thursday, via AL.com. “Now he has an opportunity to start, and he’s certainly taken advantage of that. We’re happy that he’s here, and he’s doing a good job for us.”

It's interesting because Moody wasn't a highly-rated recruit coming out of high school. In fact, he was either a two- or three-star guy on almost every recruiting service. And yet, he's quickly becoming another diamond in the rough for Saban.

Now it looks like he'll be given the opportunity to start next to Christian Harris. If To'o To'o chooses Alabama, then great. He would only add to the embarrassment of riches for the Crimson Tide. But if not, it looks like they'll be just fine with Moody.

Alabama also has other quality options there after several years of recruiting the position well.
