Nick Foles NOT Opting Out

There has been a rumor floating around Twitter this afternoon that Nick Foles would join the growing ranks of players opting out of this NFL season due to coronavirus concerns. Dan Hellie of NFL Media reports that this news is not true, and Mike Garafolo -- also of NFL Media -- emphasized the same:




Foles was acquired by the Bears this offseason from the Jacksonville Jaguars for a fourth round pick. It is expected that he will compete with Mitchell Trubisky for the starting job this upcoming season.
