Unvaxxed Aaron Rodgers Tees Off On 'Woke Mob'
Aaron Rodgers isn't one to sit back and take shots -- figuratively or literally -- from the media or anyone else. Days after testing positive for COVID-19, Rodgers decided to take a jab, though not the kind the liberal media would prefer. On Friday afternoon, Green Bay's quarterback sliced through the woke mob with the same ease in which he regularly carves up NFC North defenses.
"I realize I'm in the crosshairs of the woke mob right now, so before my final nail gets put in my cancel culture casket, I'd like to set the record straight on so many of the blatant lies out there," Rodgers told Pat McAfee during his weekly spot on The Pat McAfee Show.
Having the floor to himself, Rodgers stood his ground against the jab-happy media who have tried to crucify him in recent days for making a personal decision about his body:
"I'm not an anti-vaxx, flat-earther...I'm somebody who's a critical thinker...I march to the beat of my own drum. I believe strongly in bodily autonomy and the ability to make choices for your body...
"Not to have to acquiesce to some woke culture, or crazed group of individuals who say you have to do something," Rodgers continued. "Health is not a one-size-fits-all for everybody. And for me (the vaccination) involved a lot of study in the offseason."
Thanks to the NFL's absurd mandates that treat what is essentially a version of the flu like a ticking time bomb, Green Bay's long-time signal caller will be forced to to quarantine for a minimum of 10 days.
Yes, Rodgers has to follow these protocols, even though he has studied the vaccine, treatment, and the virus like a would-be Sunday opponent.
"I put a lot of time and energy and research (in) and met with a lot of different people in the medical field to get the most information about the vaccines before making a decision (not to vaccinate)," Rodgers told McAfee.
"In actuality, it was pretty easy in the beginning to eliminate two of (the vaccines)," said Rogers. "And it didn't involve going into the questionable history of some of their criminal activities and fraud cases or any of that stuff. It was simply the fact that I have an allergy to an ingredient that's in the MRNA vaccines. I found a long term immunization protocol to protect myself, and I'm very proud of the research that went into that."
After first ruling out the Moderna and Pfizer shots, Rodgers then decided against the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which was pulled in the spring because of blood clotting issues.
"So the J&J shot was not even an option at that point," emphasized Rodgers.
Before revealing that he spoke with Joe Rogan about treatment, Rodgers explained that he found an alternate immunization protocol that would best protect him and his teammates long term, and he is proud of the research that went into finding that kind of immunization.
"The league was fully aware of (the preventative measures he'd taken)," said Rodgers.
Before handing back off to McAfee, Rodgers took a shot deep and accused the league of taking "draconian measures" to pressure players into vaxxing. According to ARod, those who aren't vaccinated have been placed in "a different category."
"You were in a different category which involved some draconian measures and protocols you would have to adhere to, which, in my opinion, were not based on science... More based in a shame-based environment to try and get as many guys vaccinated as possible so that the league looks better to the rest of the world."
Even though he'll miss Sunday's game, Rodgers has already won the weekend.
