Lamar Jackson Has a Pardon Request For President Trump

The Baltimore Ravens are preparing for a Wild Card fight against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. Quarterback Lamar Jackson is going to be an important part of that fight, but he's also fighting for the freedom of rapper Kodak Black.

Black is currently in prison on federal weapons charges, and Jackson took to social media to plead with President Donald Trump to commute his sentence. Here is what the third-year signal-caller had to say:

“Hey @realDonaldTrump @potus my friend @KodakBlack1k deserves to be commuted. The system punished him way to hard for a paperwork crime #freekodak.”

Back in November of 2019, Black was sentenced to a four-year prison sentence after he plead guilty to lying on his background check while buying firearms. It remains to be seen whether President Trump responds to the request.

The President has granted full pardons to 41 people while commuting the sentences of eight others over the last two weeks, according to NBC Sports.
