Florida Judge Orders Destruction Of Alleged Robert Kraft Sex Tape

In a dose of good news, no one else will witness a tape that allegedly shows New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft paying for sex.

Instead, a federal judge in Florida ordered that videos set up as part of a Jupiter, Fla., sting operation be destroyed. The alleged incident took place at a massage parlor -- though misdemeanor charges against Kraft and others were dropped last year after the Florida 4th District Court of Appeal ruled the videos were not admissible as evidence.

"Kraft's attorneys had been pushing for the videos to be destroyed, as the 79-year-old billionaire was worried that the videos would be circulated on the Internet," Laurel Wamsley of NPR reported.

"On Friday, U.S. District Judge Rodolfo A. Ruiz II ruled that the videos must be destroyed because the police surveillance was unlawful, the Sun Sentinel reported. The videos had already been ordered sealed."

None of the plantiffs in the civil suit, presumably including Kraft, were named. Instead, all were identified merely as "John Doe."

“Considering that the Videos never should have been created according to judicial rulings that are binding and conclusive, the Videos should be destroyed so that they can never be subject to any misuse, intentional or otherwise,” wrote attorneys Frank A. Shepherd, William Burck and Alex Spiro, via the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

At any rate, the Florida judge's ruling puts an end to all of it. We hope. Please, destroy away.
