NFL Week 4 Betting Picks: Buccaneers, Broncos

Special to Outkick The Coverage from OddsShark.com

Where are the money-making opportunities on the Week 4 NFL betting slate? Here's a breakdown of two matchups that have the potential to fatten your wallet on Sunday...

Panthers vs. Buccaneers Betting Pick

We had to do a double-take when we saw the Panthers were a three-point favorite on the road in Tampa Bay at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Carolina is undefeated, but it's not as if they've taken out the league's juggernauts in doing so. They've beaten Houston, Jacksonville and a Drew Brees-less Saints team, and those three squads are sporting a combined record of 2-7.

Cam Newton is an early MVP candidate, but the players around him are subpar. Do you really expect Cam to go on the road and shred Tampa Bay's defense?

The Bucs could easily be 2-1 if not for some horrendous placekicking last week in Houston, and stud receiver Mike Evans is healthy. We like the Bucs to win outright.

Vikings vs. Broncos Betting Pick

We can't even believe the Broncos are only a touchdown favorite at home against the Vikings.

Listen, people are optimistic about the Vikings, and with good reason: They're an ascending young team with a terrific head coach in Mike Zimmer. They laid beat downs on both the Lions and the Chargers in the past two weeks. Teddy Bridgewater is a sparkling sophomore passer, and Adrian Peterson is toting the rock with violence and aplomb.

But come on; this is Denver we're talking about. The Broncos are one of the best teams in the league, and it's not just because of Peyton Manning, as the defense has been filthy (ranked No.1 overall).

The defense will bottle up Peterson, and Manning should slice and dice Minnesota's secondary. We like Denver in a major way.
