NFL Memo: Training Camp Is Officially On

Troy Vincent, the NFL's EVP of Football Operations, made it official today in a memo sent to general managers and head coaches -- training camp is a go and rookies will report to camp starting Tuesday, July 21. Quarterbacks and injured players will report starting July 23 and all other players report July 28.

20 players at a time will be allowed into facilities until the NFLPA agrees to infectious disease plans with teams, according to NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero. Chiefs rookies and quarterbacks are scheduled to report Monday morning, while Texans rookies will be in camp Monday as well. The Texans and Chiefs are reporting a few days early because they'll open the season Thursday, September 10 in the NFL's season kickoff game.

And with that, the NFL is ready to go. As of now the NFL is sticking with its two preseason game schedule with Week One of preseason being played August 20-24.
