Thursday Night Football is back and we are now back to a normal schedule as we enter week 16. Hopefully, things don’t get moved around too much, but either way, it was enjoyable having more games throughout the week. Tonight, we get the 49ers visiting the Titans.

The 49ers have won four of their last five games, the one loss came to the Seahawks in a divisional game. It is hard to beat divisional opponents on the road, but I still feel like that is a loss San Francisco may regret long term. The 49ers are in a decent spot with injuries and players that are available. They haven’t been hit as hard as many other teams, so I think we have the benefit of knowing how their game plan should go.

For the Titans, they are one of the more unreliable or unpredictable teams in the NFL right now. They still sit atop their division, but they’ve lost three of their last five games. The games they lost don’t really make sense either. They lost to the Steelers last week, and maybe I’m alone in this assessment, but the Steelers are not a better team. It was a poor performance from a team that I’ve said for a while now – the Titans tend to play only half of a game. When they lost to the Patriots I wasn’t exactly surprised, but losing to the Texans was surprising.

If you read those first paragraphs, you probably know which team I trust more tonight. It is clearly the 49ers. With that being said, I could see the Titans putting up a fight on their home turf. With all of that said I can’t play the side because I really see this as a coinflip. In that situation, I’d usually take the points, but I have no faith in the Titans whatsoever. I’m taking the over on the point total instead. I think the Titans are going to have better luck offensively against the 49ers defense. I also think that the 49ers offense is creative enough to score 20+ points. I’ll play over 44.5 at -110.

One prop I’m looking at is Deebo Samuel to score the first touchdown of the game. I like the way that the 49ers are using him and think he can find the endzone in more than one way. If he is used out of the backfield, he is elusive and can run in. If he catches a pass, he is usually given enough running room to make something happen. I’ll play it at +600.
