Need Football? You're In Luck -- FCS Playoffs Set To Kick Off

If you're like most sports fans, you're jonesing for some football. Well, fear not, America. Some playoff games are coming your way.

That's right -- the FCS playoffs, featuring the top teams that aren't quite NCAA Division I, kick off this weekend.

This will mark the first time an FCS champion will emerge in the spring. Sixteen teams qualified for the playoffs in all, giving us eight games at the start alone.

Here's the full schedule (all times Eastern):

The quarterfinals will be held Saturday, May 1, locations TBD. Then come the semifinals on Saturday, May 8. Those two games will be held at noon EST (ESPN) and 8 p.m. EST (ESPN2).

The championship game will be held in Frisco, Texas on Sunday, May 16, at 2 p.m. ABC will televise the title game.

So, yes, we have football for the next four weekends. Since that's the case, hey, everyone is a champion.
